Society of Justice Party (SJP)

I. national integrity, respect for human rights and people’s freedoms

The Social Justice Party (SJP) respects the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and believes that the King, in accordance with Article 8 of the Cambodian constitution – which stipulates that the King is the symbol of national unity and sustainability – is the one who can guarantee the national independence, sovereignty and national integrity of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The King is the leader who can ensure respect for human rights, international conventions and the freedom of the Cambodian people. The SJP is very confident that the King is a great nationalist, s the SJP agrees to follow the King honestly so that he can fulfill his great obligation.

II. Land disputes

Those who violate the law, especially the nation’s land management law, will be sentenced without any forgiveness.
People must have enough land to build their homes, and farmers must have enough land to farm, so they each can improve their living standards.
Any kinds of development on land legally owned by people must be settled with reasonable compensation based on the market prices of land.
Review all land concessions given to foreign companies must be reviewed, and land concessions must be located at least 50 km from the nation’s borders.

III. Employment

Vocational training must be provided to both male and female Cambodians in response to the needs of both local and international labor markets.
Attention must be paid to the protection of justice for Cambodian workers and people both in Cambodia and foreign countries.
Investors must be encouraged to increase local employment. Both factory-owner and workers must respect the Labor Law.
The state must teach workers and laborers who wish to work overseas some our important laws relevant to foreign countries in which they want to work, and our embassy or consulate in each foreign country must build good relations with our workers and laborers. Furthermore, officials at our embassies and consulates will face punishment if they turn a blind eye to the needs of our workers and laborers.

IV. Soaring prices of goods

Many countries in the world are affected by inflation. The inflation in Cambodia is caused by:
- Rising prices of gasoline on the international market
- A decline in the value of the US currency

The growth of the world’s economy, which has increased demand for goods; however Cambodia is affected by two other factors:
- Rampant corruption
- Incapable government officials.

Solution:

Make people confident in our national currency
Get rid of all kinds of corruption from high to low levels
Implement good governance by nominating capable officials who can investigate the activity of all officials, rewarding honest officials but punishing dishonest officials.

V. Social issues

Offer appropriate salaries to civil servants, workers and armed forces members so they can lead honorable lives.
Do not let people die just because they lack money for medical treatment. If the leaders of countries are considered parents, citizens must be regarded as children. So, the state must take all possible measures so that their children can survive.
The state must support poor Cambodian students so that they can complete their education as development will take place in a country full of knowledgeable people. The state must be responsible for helping students to find jobs so that they can earn a living.

VI. Immigration

The SJP is committed to strictly respect and enforce the nation’s immigration laws, the nationality law, the 1965 international convention on the elimination of all forms of race discrimination, and the 1951 law and 1967 protocol with regards to the status of immigrants. The SJP promises to provide justice for the Cambodian people. If Cambodians work illegally in foreign country are treated poorly, we will treat foreigners who illegally work in our country the same way.

VII. Corruption

Even before the introduction of the anti-corruption law, the SJP can rid the nation of corruption by pushing the Cambodian court to implement Constitution Articles 37 and 38.

Article 37: Embezzlement committed by administrators

Elected representatives, civil administrators, soldiers will be sentenced from 3 to 10 years in prison if found guilty of using, hiring or selling collective properties for the sake of their own interests or those of individuals.
The court will deprive officials who commit the above-mentioned crimes of their posts although the term of their nomination doesn’t expire. They will also be prevented from standing as a candidate or will be disallowed from holding a post in public administration for two years after receiving their prison term.
The criminals will be fined twice as much as the prices of the assets or amount of the money embezzled.

Article 38: Bribery

Elected representatives, civil administrators, soldiers and politicians will be sentenced from 3 to 7 years in prison if found guilty of accepting bribes.
A person who commits any of the crimes mentioned above will be removed from their position for the duration of the election mandate and will not be allowed to hold any position for the duration of the election mandate and will not be allowed to hold any position in public administration for a period of two years after receiving his or her punishment.
Offenders will be fined twice of the price of assets or amount of the money embezzled.

VIII. Oil and gas resource management

Encourage students, schools to study gas and oil resources, as the government has to send students to study in a country which has experience in their field.
Be transparent in oil and gas resource management. The Cambodian National Petroleum sector. For example, any Thai firm will be not allowed to do activities in an oil well bloc bordering Cambodia and Thailand. The government has to take similar measure for any Vietnamese firm.
The Social Justice Party will establish a law on the effective management of oil and gas resources.

Vote for SJP for the following interests:

Cambodia will be a genuine democratic country
Cambodian people enjoy justice and equality before state law
The nation will be developed with transparency and quality
Corruption in Cambodian society will be minimized
Protect territorial integrity
Arrest and deport illegal immigrants to their countries
People, government officials, workers, businesspeople, and armed forces’ members will live prosperously and with dignity.
