Phnom Penh: The Burma Daily publication is exclusively available online for download (www.burmadaily.org) – which was published three times as insert inside The Cambodia Daily confiscated by the Cambodian government.

The Burma Daily was launched on May 16, which was originally published as a supplement to The Cambodia Daily, but they were removed from all newsstands in Phnom Penh starting May, 19 and 20 by the military police.

Since May 21, The Burma Daily would no longer be published as supplement within the Cambodia Daily but it is available online instead.

The ministry of information ordered to municipal military police to confiscate all The Burma Daily inserted into the Cambodia Daily it was because of no permission to be published and negative effect to relations with the closed military state of Burma.

Khieu Kanharith was quoted by the Daily as saying Tuesday that an online publication would be permitted.

The Burma Daily’s online publication is funded by the Adam Lincoln Steele Foundation.
